Equi-Jump offers a wide selection of riding chaps and from some of the equestrian industry’s biggest names.
Riding Half Chaps
Half chaps are popular amongst younger riders as they can be worn over short jodhpur boots to prevent rubbing and irritation to the calf/low leg area. Our horse ridding chaps are available in many variety colours and designs and feature a boot loop with a zip to the rear so they are easy to put on and take off.
Difference Between Horse Riding Gaiters & Equestrian Chaps
Wondering what the difference between horse riding chaps and gaiters is?
Horse riding gaiters are made from leather and usually are put with shorter jodhpur boots in competitions and at events to create the illusion of a long riding boot. Equestrian gaiters are available in a wide selection of leather types and colours, giving a smart appearance which is how they have become particularly popular in the show ring. In comparison to the riding half chaps and the gaiters, full riding chaps consist of two individual legs that are attached independently to a waist belt. Full horse riding chaps offer complete leg coverage up to the buttock and offer a good level of protection from weather and dirt. Show riders often wear full chaps during their warm-up so their show attire remains in peak condition for the show ring.
